Our history

Our dream is for everyone to have a place to be accepted - have somewhere to belong, a place where inclusion isn't just a word, but a reality.  We dream of a life where everyone succeeds and feels important about themselves and fits in amongst their typical peers. We imagine a life where friendships evolve and opportunities await everyone.

Unfortunately for parents and caregivers of persons with disabilities, this dream is often difficult to fulfill. In 2010 we founded this chapter of No More Sidelines to create inclusive environments and opportunities where families like ours could belong.  Since then, we have hosted nearly 100 community and sporting events in the Central Michigan Area.  As our name represents, "No More Sidelines," fosters environments  where participants are able to form friendships, be a part of their community, and experience the benefits of being part of a team. No longer are persons with disabilities left on the sidelines to watch, but are encouraged and welcome to participate - in everything!

Our goal is to create more awareness of No More Sidelines and to continue its growth and participation. Your support, whether as a volunteer or through a monetary donation, will specifically be utilized to provide these opportunities and will lead to successful outcomes for those living with disabilities in our community.  .
